The Governing Body are looking to appoint an inspirational and self-motivated Teaching Assistant (TA) to this new and exciting position. If you are a dynamic, committed, and inspirational TA who wants to make a difference to the lives and outcomes of Woodlane pupils we welcome your application.
The position will include:
- Leading staff on the support for pupils with medical, personal and intimate health care needs across the whole school.
- Providing staff training, support and guidance to colleagues, in partnership with the Assistant Head, TA Leader and Senior TA, to ensure pupils with medical, personal and intimate health care needs attend well, display positive behaviour and social skills and develop resilience.
- Working in partnership with the Assistant Head, TA Leader and Senior TA to design and implement new ways of working to support pupils with medical, personal and intimate health care needs across the school.
- Working in partnership with the Assistant Head, TA Leader and Senior TA to ensure educational legislation requirements are met for pupils with medical, personal and intimate health care needs.
- Providing academic/ pastoral support for pupils with medical, personal and intimate health care needs both in and out of class.
- To provide ‘therapy’ sessions for named pupils, following the advice and guidance of support agencies e.g. Occupational Therapy.
- To coordinate TAs/Apprentices in the delivery of ‘therapy’ for medical, personal and intimate health care needs e.g. Physiotherapy.
- To coordinate TA/Apprentices in the delivery of intimate medical, personal and intimate health care needs e.g. medication/changing etc.
- To provide Teacher/TA cover where required.
