Senior Midday Assistant

Hours: 7.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per year (11:45am - 1:15pm daily)

Grade: APTC 5 Points 12 - 15

Salary: £32,535  - £33,987 full time equivalent. Actual pro rata salary: £5,681 - £5,934 p.a.

The Executive Head Teacher, Head Teacher, and Governors wish to appoint a Lead Midday Dinner Assistant to join our enthusiastic and supportive team.

The Mawney Foundation is an inclusive and vibrant school which has been graded as ‘Good’ in our last 3 Ofsted inspections (most recently in June 2025).           

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible, confident individual with excellent interpersonal and behaviour management skills to lead the team of MDAs in the supervision, engagement and development of pupils during lunchtime.

The Lead MDA’s work is primarily to foster good behaviour and participation of all the pupils, but also to promote pupil engagement in active playtimes, and instil high values, good morals and the understanding and respect of others. They will organise rotas and timetables, and organise sickness absence cover in the MDA team.
