We have an exciting opportunity in Adult Social Care! We are seeking to recruit 3 Senior Community Reablement Officer’s to join the Council’s Active Reablement team to work within a service offering short term programmes of bespoke Reablement interventions. We are looking for people who have a positive attitude, have innovative, enthusiasm and a passion for working with people. The service delivery is person centred and outcomes focused, which will support customer’s health and wellbeing and promote independence.You will have knowledge and experience relating to and being part of a team, and also be able to work on your own. Have an awareness of manual handling and health and safety practice and able to risk assess.

You will also need to show understanding of supporting clients to maintain independence, choice, wellbeing and their potential use of community services. Assisting the Active Reablement Manager in ensuring a total quality regulated reablement service is provided to people referred to the service for reablement provision in a community based setting. Sometimes deputising for the Active Reablement Manager according to the needs of the service and rota arrangements.

You will have a good understanding of the application of Confidentiality and Data Protection protocols, report writing, recording records, and of working with colleagues from a range of other statutory and non-statutory organisations.

Applicants are expected to have some experience of working with vulnerable clients within a Safeguarding framework and understanding of relevant legislation.

The service is part of a Borough wide delivery of Reablement services which is part of the Croydon’s Living Independently For Everyone, (LIFE) service.

The service provides a 7 day service, on a shift rota basis.

Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to attain their CQC recognised Care Certificate.

All applicants should be an essential car user, hold a current clean driving licence and be able to travel across the borough.

Successful applicants will be required to have an Enhanced DBS

Full time 36 Hours
