Learning Support Assistant - 1:1 SEN Support
Hours: 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time)
Salary: Grade 1/2 Spinal Point 3 -5. £18,324 - £18,887 per annum, based on FTE £26,238 - £27,030 per annum (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2025

To help us, we wish to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work within our provision for hearing impaired pupils on a one to one basis with a child with SEN including a hearing impairment as soon as possible.
We are looking to appoint someone with the following skills:
- Has an NVQ 2 / 3 qualification in Primary Education and have at least Maths and Literacy GCSE at grade C or above.
- Has experience in working with deaf children.
- Has knowledge of British Sign Language (preferably at least a BSL level qualification).
- Has experience in helping develop children’s speech and language.
- Is an excellent team player.
- Has a calm, patient personality, who is highly organised and flexible.
- Someone who has the ability to engage and motivate pupils and can differentiate learning for SENs pupils where necessary.
- An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
- Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently.
