Learning Support Assistant - SEN Support

Hours:  30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 1/2 Spinal Point 3 -5.  £18,324 - £18,887 per annum. FTE £26,238 - £27,030 per annum  (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2025

To help us, we wish to appoint an experienced and high calibre Learning Support Assistant to work with our SEND students

This role is a fixed term contract.

We are looking to appoint someone with the following skills:

  • Has an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Primary Education and have at least Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above
  • Is an excellent team player
  • Has a calm, patient personality, who is highly organised and flexible
  • Someone who has the ability to engage and motivate pupils and can creatively differentiate learning for pupils with SENs where necessary
  • Someone who has previous experience of working with children with ASD and is familiar with the use of PECS and delivery of ‘Attention Autism’, ‘TACPAC’ and ‘Intensive Interaction’.
  • An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
  • Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently
