We are looking to appoint a qualified  teaching assistant with a sports background to join our team and continue inspiring our pupils to be lifelong learners. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • supporting children across the curriculum, often with a particular focus on maths, reading, writing and sports
  • giving extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate.
  • motivating and encouraging pupils
  • Establish positive relationships with students.
  • assisting with marking and correcting work
  • attending meetings and reviews
  • helping with school events, educational visits and activities

The role played by teaching assistants within schools can be vital in helping children gain basic literacy, numeric and sports skills.
