We are seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our Newark Business Development Team at United Colleges Group. We are a forward-thinking education provider and our mission is to deliver outstanding, world class education and skills. 

We have an increased demand for our out of London provision, including the region of Kent.

We welcome applications from candidates located in the areas above to support our expanding team during this exciting time. Successful candidates will need to have a full driving license and access to their own transport so they can support their caseload of learners.

This role is a remote role where staff will need to manager their own workload and will be expected to attend team meetings at least once a month in Newark, as well as regular online meetings.

 

Who we are

UCG provides education to over 11,000 learners a year, including 16–18-year-olds, adults, apprentices, and students with high needs.

With an annual turnover of over £50m, we are one of the top 20 largest college groups in the UK. We offer education and training in almost all vocational areas at a variety of levels for a wide range of learners of all ages and starting points.

UCG attracts students from across London and beyond. Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds. In the academic year 2022-23, we enrolled more than 3500 full time 16-18 students, 8,000 adult learners and over 450  apprentices across our Group. UCG currently enrol 250+ HE students per year, across 4 campuses onto 12 courses from STEM subjects (Science, Construction, Engineering, and Computing) to Business, Music and Professional Qualifications.

We have around 1,000 dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic staff who always put the needs of our students first and we are now looking for assessors in Health and Social Care to join our cohort of dedicated staff.

About You

You will be required to assess in any of the following sectors; Health and Social care, Business Administration and Management. You will also be responsible for Teaching and tutoring duties, Curriculum development and programme administration.

The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of our employer focused provision across various levels providing support for students and employers, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities. As an assessor, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, you will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspirations and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will assess a variety programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.

You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential. 

We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards an assessing qualification.

The sucessful applicant will need to hold  a valid UK driving licence and have access to thier own transport.
