ASB Lead Officer (Housing)
This is a key role within our busy Tenancy Management service that ensures Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases are progressed and provide tangible outcomes for our residents. As an Anti-Social Behaviour Lead (Housing) you will act as an expert on anti-social behaviour, providing a high-quality service and point of contact for council staff, partners and residents in order to respond to reports of anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, gang activity and crime.
You will be our expert on ASB and have the opportunity to help shape the way we tackle ASB in future. This is a key priority area for us as a Council and you will be expected to represent us at stakeholder meetings including MARAC and promote best practise within the service.

The key duties of this role include:
- Providing specialist advice, guidance and support in respect of ASB & Domestic Abuse and in more complex case work.
- Developing appropriate responses and solutions to ASB in conjunction with internal and external partners and co-ordinate their implementation.
- Acting as the service expert for ASB, supporting the Tenancy Officers through case audits and guidance on any long running or high-risk cases.
- Taking realistic, fast, and efficient action, supported by an effective action plan that focuses on agreed outcomes with our residents
- Representing the service in high profile stakeholder meetings including MARAC
The right candidate for us needs to be able to demonstrate:
- A sound knowledge of legislation and housing management practice relating to the management of ASB
- A thorough understanding of the legislation available for tackling ASB and knowledge of the legal remedies available for breach of tenancy conditions
- A track record of delivering outcomes in partnership with different agencies
- Experience preparing witness statements and accompanying legal documentation
- Strong organisation skills and a keen attention to detail
- Active listening skills and the ability to convey key messages and describe processes clearly and effectively
- Excellent emotional intelligence and empathy
- The ability to prioritise and cope well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communications
