Temporary Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

Hours:  17.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, 8.30am - 12.00pm daily

Grade:  Scale 5, Point 12-15

Pro-rata salary:  £11,380 p.a - £11,956 p.a  (FTE £27,807 p.a - £29,214 p.a) 

Contract:  Temporary 1st January 2023 to 31st August 2023

Start date:  5th January 2023

 

Whybridge Junior School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced HLTA to join our friendly and vibrant school. You will join a strong and supportive team of staff within an Academy that is committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment for our pupils and staff.  Whybridge Junior School is part of Hornchurch Academy Trust which offers excellent opportunities for training, support, career development and sharing best practice amongst its five schools.

The role will involve:

  • Teaching and supporting a small group of pupils, who have additional needs, with their learning and under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Teaching/covering classes as and when required.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience in effectively supporting pupils' learning in the classroom
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships
  • Excellent understanding and training in supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Good sense of humour​
