Highams Park School is looking to appoint a candidate with experience of working as a Senior Leader to the position of Associate Deputy Principal in our large, diverse secondary school. You will work as part of the Senior Leadership and Management Team but with specific responsibility for:
Teaching and Learning, Staff Career Professional Development, oversight of the Year 7 – 13 Work Scrutiny Programme, ECT Induction Tutor or Performance Management Process, departmental line management, as well as the line management of the member of staff responsible for Digital Learning, and line management responsibility for one of the Assistant Principals depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate will also need to contribute to all of the generic expectations of SLMT members.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a highly effective behaviour manager and someone able to competently juggle the many competing demands of a challenging whole-school role. The successful candidate needs to be innovative, and always open in looking for ways to continuously improve. You will need to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues and bring out the best in our exceptional team of staff.
Highams Park is a very successful co-educational 11-18 Academy converter with 1600 students on roll including nearly 400 in the 6th Form.
