Income & Tenancy Officer
Wyke Estate TMC is well established Housing Co-operative managing the estate on behalf of London Borough of Hackney. We are looking for Income & tenancy officer that has a strong knowledge of the housing regulation surrounding tenancies and various housing acts. The role requires person with five years’ experience or more in housing management, who can perform generic duties in professional manner. Responsibilities mainly include rent collection and rent arrears recovery, settlement of creditors accounts, dealing ASB cases, carrying out blocks and Estate inspections, progressing repairs & maintenance, advising tenants on welfare benefit including Universal Credit, attending Court hearings, administering allocation & letting procedure, dealing with routine tenancy matters, disputes and domestic violence, and providing administrative support to colleagues & board Members, other necessary duties according to the TMC Manager or Chairman of the Board.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skill, a team player and capable to work independently with the ability to priorities workloads, a strong housing background and accounting IT system, and commitment to providing an approachable and proactive service to our diverse range of customers. The position is temporary for 12 months with intention to go permanent.
