Head of Finance

Newham Partnership Working has a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified Head of Finance to provide professional financial assurance over a wide portfolio of products and service lines.

In addition to managing the internal finance function, the Head will play a key role in providing financial assurance for Operations, Strategy, in future product design, sales opportunities and operational effectiveness.

This role will involve but not limited to:

• Take ownership of the group's annual statutory reporting process including liaising with auditors and dealing with queries using FRS 102, Charities SORP 2015 and Companies Act 
• Lead the annual budgetary process.
• Ensure there is timely and accurate reporting of monthly management accounts, investigating variances and correcting errors where necessary.
• Produce monthly management information to budget holders highlighting variances against budget.
• Prepare month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to the development of management information provided internally and externally.
• Ensure that financial records are maintained in line with Company standards and comply with current legislation.
• Reconcile CRM and Booking System to Sage 200.
• Review VAT Returns
• Oversee and review the work of 2 Finance team members

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will need to have:

• A qualification from a relevant professional body
• exposure to Budgeting and Forecasting experience
• experience in business partnering with Head of Departments and Schools to review monthly actual and budget variances
• Sage 200 knowledge
