The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK.

Job description

We are looking for an HR Operations Manager to join our busy team at the Commission. You will be responsible for providing a consistent focus on, and cover to, the HR Operations aspect of the HR function. This is a key role in ensuring that the operational aspects of HR work such as pensions, payroll and contract variations are carried out in an accurate and timely way. In addition the role will often be the first point of contact for managers and staff seeking advice as well as having the opportunity to get involved in/lead discreet projects that support the overall People Strategy.

Role requirements

You will hold a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development or the equivalent and will have experience of working in a similar role. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and working with and developing HR systems is essential.  Good communication skills are necessary and you must be confident, persuasive, approachable and dependable whilst ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
