Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) is one of London’s leading housing associations employing over 2,000 people. We have been working to improve our IT infrastructure across the business and we are starting an exciting journey of moving our server estate to Microsoft Azure.
We are looking for a Cloud Operations Manager to help us lead this journey. You’ll have excellent leadership skills, helping to support the business to utilise the opportunity presented by cloud to support their digital journey, as well as lead the delivery of technical processes solutions for our cloud environment. On a day to day basis you will lead a technical team to support and improve cloud services as well as providing a lead for third line database management and support of the database services.
Top-quality management skills are a must. In this role you will be expected to manage conflicting priorities within a matrix environment. Your business understanding and ability to manage expectations and relationships within IT and across business departments will be outstanding.
Excellent technical leadership and an ability to identify and deliver on strategic goals and objectives are a must. You will have experience of managing through others in complex environments and the ability to work methodically through any issues that arise. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering outcomes within a highly technical environment. You must have an ITIL Foundation as a minimum, as well as a good working knowledge of a Project Management Framework ideally through certification.
You will engage regularly with the wider business and suppliers, providing leadership on relationships with key IT suppliers and managing the performance and delivery of your direct technical team, so we expect you to be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude who can drive cultural change to your team and have the ability to influence other within the wider IT team and the business.

The appointed candidate will join on the starting salary which will increase to £72,468 after successful completion of six months’ probation.
