Full Time Permanent Role: 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Chalk Farm Housing Group (CFHG) is a long-established Tenant Management Organisation responsible for the management and maintenance of 205 tenanted and 68 leasehold properties in 8 residential blocks on the Ferdinand Estate in Chalk Farm, London NW1 on behalf of Camden Council. We work from a local Estate-based office near to Camden Market.

We are looking for a flexible, experienced and highly skilled Multi-Trade Operative who can offer plumbing as their main trade along with proficiency in at least 2 other key trades such as carpentry, minor electrical works, painting and decorating, finishing (plastering/tiling/flooring) or groundworks.

A recognised plumbing qualification at a minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 is essential for this role.

This is a new position and you will be taking on work which would previously have been outsourced to external contractors.   Experience in a similar role either working for a social housing landlord, managing agent or contractor is preferred. You will be dealing with a mixture of emergency and pre-booked repairs each day alongside planned maintenance tasks. You must be able to manage your workload efficiently and use your initiative as you will mainly be working on your own.

You will have good diagnostic skills to quickly determine what repairs are needed. You will also be required to pre and post inspect repairs and give technical advice to office staff.

Above all you will have excellent customer service and communication skills as you will be mainly be working in occupied properties.
