The service continues to develop and we hope in time to be able to offer the opportunity to rotate posts across our services. We offer excellent training, flexible working patterns (subject to service demands) with a generous Annual Leave entitlement.
The Role
We are recruiting a number of Occupational Therapist positions across our Community Teams. You will have the opportunity to work along side Social Workers, Reablement and hospital colleagues. The Occupational Therapy role is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day running of an integrated Adult Social Care team, working across all services. You will work primarily with Adults but there maybe an opportunity to take on some paediatric cases. In Southwark Occupational Therapists have access to a wide range of equipment to enable service users, and we are developing strong relationships with housing colleagues. Working alongside your peers, you will be responsible for having a manageable caseload. You will be required to provide timely and proportionate intervention to our service users and maximise independence where possible.
About You
The successful applicant will need to have "a can do attitude" and actively seek continuous professional development in their practice. We are looking for resilient practitioners who can manage competing demands and prioritise their work effectively. The role requires applicants who are confident decision makers and who can stay calm under pressure.
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) having successfully completed an approved qualification in occupational therapy. Do you think you have what it takes to ensure that Southwark remains a great place to live and work? If so, we would like to hear from you!
