The Role

We have a an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the South Camden Recovery and Rehabilitation team, a multi-disciplinary mental health service for individuals experiencing psychosis. As a Social Worker within the team, you will hold a varied caseload, undertaking the role of care coordinator for those with complex mental health needs along with providing specific interventions. You will be expected to manage your own workload and resources. You will undertake assessments of risk, needs and capacity and respond appropriately to support the service users. You will have the skills to respond to unexpected events and crisis and have the ability to recognise signs of harm, abuse and neglect and how to manage these issues.

 

There is a strong commitment to promoting your professional development in Camden. You will be supported by clinical and management supervision and will be given the opportunity to develop and enhance clinical skills, leadership skills, therapeutic interventions and case management through annual appraisal and personal development plan.

 

About You

The successful candidate will need to be a qualified Social Worker, HCPC registered with experience of working in the community supporting adults with mental health problems following the Care Programme Approach (CPA). The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work within the recovery model and dedicated to improve the well-being of service users and their carers. It is essential that you demonstrate the ability to take responsibility for managing your own workload at a high standard and delivering to set deadlines, despite tight timescales and conflicting priorities. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of the role as a Care Coordinator and join our friendly multidisciplinary team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Nurses who are experienced community practitioners. The team also comprises of Assistant Practitioner, Clinical Support Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Therapists, supported by our admin staff.

 

You will have strong experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally to high service standards. The ideal candidate will have strong awareness and understanding of the complexities of operating in a multi-disciplinary setting. You will also be proficient in using Microsoft Office Packages i.e. PowerPoint and Word, Intermediate Excel coupled with excellent (written and verbal) communication skills.

 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
