An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Activities Co-ordinator to join our teams.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will develop key partnerships, advise and support Extra Care schemes on how to plan activities, outings and events ensuring each scheme is linked into NHGs volunteer program.
The work you will do is more than just plan for our residents to meet up – the activities you put together will add value to our customers’ lives, helping them to build and re-build connections within their local community – and it doesn’t end there! You will also ensure that our customers are not solely receivers of services, but have the chance to add value to their community, enhancing their wellbeing and promoting dignity and respect.
To do this role well you will have knowledge and experience of involving residents in activities. Collaboration is important to us, and will be to you too and as such you will be confident in working with partners and agencies, both internally and externally. You will also have a great knowledge and experience of the voluntary sector.
You will have strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and individually. You will have experience of working with elderly people and though your caring nature you will aim for the visible progress and positive impact on wellbeing of our residents.
