Tower Hamlets Homes is an award-winning ALMO (Arms-Length Management Organisation).  We are a not-for-profit company, set up in 2008 to deliver high quality housing services for residents living in 21,000 homes in East London, including 9,000 leasehold homes and 12,000 tenanted homes.  We deliver our services for Tower Hamlets council, who own the homes whilst we manage the tenancies and leases for them.  We are more than just a housing management company.  Our vision is to create thriving, safe, and sustainable neighbourhoods where residents can be proud of their homes, respect one another and realise their potential.

We have achieved a lot in recent years, winning the prestigious Landlord of the Year award and the Inclusion and Diversity Pioneer award at the UK Housing Awards in 2019.  We also won two Engagement Excellence awards in 2018, recognising our modern and forward-looking approach to employee reward and recognition.  Over the coming months, we will be developing our new Business Plan 2020-23, as well as refreshing our People Strategy to ensure that our workforce practices continue to support our organisational strategy.  With a new strategy taking shape, and with an organisational culture that values working together to develop creative solutions that help the business move forward, it’s a really exciting time to join our highly-regarded People Services team and create inspiring learning environments and opportunities for our colleagues.

Our new Learning and Talent Co-ordinator will help us to deliver on our People Strategy by organising and co-ordinating training activity across the organisation, and taking a lead on our talent development programmes (including our apprenticeship delivery).  They will help us develop our colleagues and our leadership capability through the provision of modern, class-leading people services.

To succeed, you will have a modern outlook on learning and talent, embrace diversity and inclusion, and our organisational vision will resonate strongly with you.  You will have a track record of developing training and development initiatives, with experience of working with HR colleagues and managers as a team player to develop an understanding of requirements, and develop tailored solutions in line with company and individual need.  You will understand how to liaise with internal and external training providers to co-ordinate and successful deliver learning programme, and will have experience of updating training materials.  You will understand how to communicate learning and training success both within and outside of the organisation.  You will also be determined and resilient, able to work in a stand-alone capacity and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
