What you’ll do
Wyke Estate Tenant Management Co-operative, a small dynamic resident-led housing organization, is seeking an Income and Tenancy Officer to join us on a permanent basis. As Income and Tenancy Officer, you will provide a customer focussed, proactive, comprehensive and high-quality Rent Collection and Arrears Recovery service.
How you’ll do it
- Ensure early intervention, including maximising income, budgeting, referring to debt support agencies, tenancy support or other professional agencies.
- Be responsible for managing a portfolio of rent accounts, working within agreed policies and procedures and utilising all appropriate and available tools to recover debts owed; this will include taking cases to court where appropriate.
- Provide advice and guidance as appropriate through the arrears and legal process.
- Play a critical role in helping sustain tenancies with a good knowledge of housing and welfare benefits.
- Provide a high level of customer service and have strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
There is a company pension scheme which the employer contributes 3% to and the employee 5% of gross salary.
26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
