Employer Engagement Officer
2-year Fixed Term Contract (with the possibility of extension subject to funding)
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
Work Redbridge, the Councils employment support and job brokerage service, is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to connect local residents to sustainable employment and drive inclusive recruitment across Redbridge. As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will be dynamic, driven and passionate about helping our residents with health conditions, disabilities and other disadvantages, to access job opportunities by building strong relationships with employers and championing inclusive hiring practices.
You will work closely with the Work Redbridge employment specialists to understand their caseloads and adopt a strategic approach to employer engagement, recruitment, and business development, to achieve sustainable job outcome targets.
You will have a strong experience and understanding of inclusive employment practices and local labour market needs, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, and successful partnership working ability.
At Work Redbridge, we are committed to transforming lives through employment. You will be part of a supportive team that values innovation, inclusion, and community impact. This is your chance to make a real difference in Redbridge. The role will promote economic well-being, tackle in-work poverty and reduce dependency on public sector resources, working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners, including DWP, Local London, Adult Education, Community & voluntary sector organisations, and local employers.
