We are looking for a Workforce Data Analyst to be at the heart of one of the most ambitious organisational change agendas in local government. You will report to the Workforce Transformation Programme Head of HR & OD, working to shape a workforce that is dynamic, forward-thinking, and inclusive, reflecting the borough we serve.

As a key member of the Workforce Transformation Programme team, you will support the delivery of our corporate change programme, driving initiatives that improve outcomes for residents and empower our people to thrive.

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing the data and insights necessary to embed new ways of working and support cultural change across all Directorates.

Why Work for Hackney Council?

At Hackney Council, your role isn't just a job - it's a chance to make a tangible impact. We are proud of our progressive approach and our unwavering commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion. We are committed to being a place for everyone; where residents and staff can be proud; a place that celebrates diversity and where everyone can feel valued, included, and involved.

A Place to Grow and Develop: We look for people who are Proud, Ambitious, Pioneering, Open, Proactive, and Inclusive. Our culture is built on a shared commitment to our goals as an organisation, with staff who are highly dedicated to serving our residents.

Investment in Your Success: We are committed to making sure staff have the right tools to do the job and the best working environments, fostering an open, collaborative, and creative culture for you to succeed.

Driving Local Impact: Your work will ensure our people are equipped to meet the Mayor’s key priorities: a fairer, safer Hackney; a greener, healthier Hackney; and every child supported to thrive.

Embracing Diversity: We work to eradicate discrimination and actively welcome applications from disabled people and those interested in flexible working.

This means you will be involved in:

- Enabling strategic workforce planning and resource allocation.

- Supporting equitable and inclusive employment practices.

- Improving workforce engagement, retention, and performance outcomes.

- Strengthening the council’s reputation as a data-driven, inclusive, and high-performing employer.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who can inspire confidence at all levels, build strong relationships with trade unions and senior stakeholders, and deliver against high expectations.

- A strong HR and OD background.

- Experience in complex workforce changes.

- A deep understanding of the local government context.

- You will bring integrity, clarity, and a solution-focused approach to everything you do.

As a Council, our most outstanding asset is our staff, who are highly dedicated to serving our residents and committed to our goals as an organisation.
