Job Introduction

At Notting Hill Genesis (NHG), we're passionate about the power of data to drive decisions, improve services, and deliver better outcomes for our residents. As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering innovative business intelligence solutions that empower teams across the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced BI professional to lead analytical projects, shape NHG's BI strategy, and help us unlock the full value of our data.

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable effective decision-making and insight across NHG. Working independently and collaboratively, you'll lead the creation of data visualisations and analytical models using Power BI and Azure technologies.

You'll also mentor others, helping to grow BI capability across the organisation while promoting best practices in analytics, data quality, and reporting.

How you'll do it

  • Develop complex BI solutions and dashboards using Power BI and Azure data services.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and business users to design effective data products.
  • Ensure BI systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with NHG's business goals.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and improving analytical capability across teams.
  • Monitor and maintain BI solutions to ensure consistent performance and availability.
  • Troubleshoot issues proactively, escalating as needed and maintaining strong communication during incidents.
  • Champion data ethics, data quality, and user experience in all BI products.
  • Support the ongoing development of NHG's analytics roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality BI insights that drive operational and strategic improvements.
  • Lead data visualisation projects, ensuring outputs are clear, accurate, and actionable.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Maintain and improve data quality standards.
  • Mentor team members and support capability building across NHG.

The ideal candidate

We believe great service starts with great people. You'll bring curiosity, creativity, and technical excellence - along with a passion for applying data science to make a tangible difference.

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in developing BI solutions using Power BI and Azure.
  • Strong data modelling, cleansing, and transformation experience.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into BI products.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices in documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others.
  • Awareness of ethics, privacy, and user experience principles in BI.
  • Pragmatism and determination to deliver effective results.
