About Camden

Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Because we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.

What You’ll Be Doing/ How You’ll Be Involved

Camden is on an organisational journey - focusing on moving from processes (bureaucratic and transactional) to relationships and partnerships (relational and human centred), and the People and Inclusion division has a critical role in supporting the organisation to be able to operate in this way.

Employee Experience Partners are all about the way people feel and experience the organisation so that they are better able to operate at the best more frequently whatever is going on for them.

As an Employee Experience Partner, you will help to create a positive experience for all Camden employees using your specialist ‘organisation development skills’.  Not only will you bring specialist skills to the role, but you will also be open and willing to broaden your knowledge and experience, so that across the whole Employee Experience collective, we benefit from a spectrum of skills.

The service is designed around core areas including using data to generate insight and measures, organisation design, organisation psychology, workshop and leadership facilitation, leadership and coaching, inclusion, culture change and learning design. As a model we work across these areas moving away from silos and towards multi-disciplinary teams.  This means that you will lead on projects that sit with your areas of skills and experience to date but that you will also be involved in projects that will help you develop and grow across the organisation development range.

The work flexes and changes in line with organisation priorities and demand.  Our immediate need is for someone to join the team who is adept at

  • Facilitating events, this will include corporate induction and leadership workshops (you will be trained in how to deliver Camden’s model of leadership)
  • Project and programme management e.g. in Camden’s mentoring programme
  • Developing and sustaining relationships across a complex organisation.
  • Taking a key role to embed inclusion practices into the organisation
  • Delivering wellbeing and leadership activities.
  • Coaching and team development activities

All About you

To be successful in this Employee Experience Partner position, you'll bring related Organisation Development experience and a passion to work creatively, relationally and with data and evidence as a core tool.  The spectrum of skills needed in our Employee Experience hub is shown in the JD. You do not need to be expert in all of these.  That is not the ask.  What we are looking for are individuals who excel in some of these areas and who are willing to ‘roll their sleeves up’ to learn and experience areas of the service that are currently less familiar to them.

You'll bring an innovative mind-set coupled with a pragmatic approach to delivering Employee Experience work and activities.

You will have excellent communication and project management skills.

We value curiosity to challenge the status quo, inclusivity to consider diverse perspectives, and authenticity to foster trust. Our relational approach ensures we see the bigger picture, listening and understanding the whole picture.  Empathy is crucial, particularly in sensitive inclusion work, as we strive to see the world through others' eyes. We make evidence-based decisions using data and insights, remain reflective to learn from all experiences, and focus on empowerment by creating a safe space for others to express views and make decisions without fear of failure.
