About the Role:
As Physical Activity Lead, you will be responsible for planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate physical activity sessions as part of the Ready Steady Go! programme. You will encourage children and their parent carers to take part, helping them build confidence and develop healthier, more active lifestyles. Alongside session delivery, you will contribute to monitoring attendance, supporting referrals, and working closely with the programme team to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
This is a part-time role, with 2–4 hours a week at £30 per hour.

- A commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and inclusion through physical activity and lifestyle programmes.
- The ability to engage and motivate children, young people, and families, particularly those above a healthy weight.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to plan, prioritise, and deliver work to deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships with participants, colleagues, and partners.
- An understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity, and the ability to apply these principles in practice.
- Relevant experience of delivering or supporting physical activity sessions and/or community-based health programmes.
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in physical activity, fitness, or sports coaching (or equivalent).
