12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extention

Governor Services is one of the fastest expanding services within The Education Space , with growth particularly in the academy sector.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our governance team, providing support for our Multi-Academy Trust clients, where your valued work will contribute to the team’s already excellent reputation.

You will be directly responsible for the provision of governance support services to a specified number of multi-academy trusts, school governing boards, and other commercial contracts.

The role will include providing administrative support for meetings including agenda preparation, delivering and advising on the role of the company secretary, supporting panel hearings including pupil exclusions and staffing appeals, conducting governor elections, and providing advice and guidance in line with the client’s legal status.

The successful candidate will have good working knowledge of schools and academy governance arrangements and statutory compliance arrangements.

Your profile

  • You will have experience of working as part of a team in a busy client-focussed enviroment 
  • Skilled in handling diverse administrative responsibilities, contributing to efficient office functions
  • Previous knowledge of schools and academy governance arrangements
  • Experience of working in a service that supports statutory compliance
  • A good standard of English and numeracy
