Day Opportunities Operational Manager

Our day opportunities service spans over the whole of Redbridge Council and you will be working across all sites within Redbridge.
You will manage a fast paced and challenging community-based service, which supports vulnerable and disabled service users and their carers. You will have a proven track record of efficient management of a community-based day opportunities service, with extensive experience at adult social services managerial level.
You will have working experience of the philosophy for dynamic service provision, including promoting individual rights, independence, choices and inclusion. You will have specialised experience of providing creative services for people living with advanced dementia, physical and sensory disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health. This will include developing and managing community-based programmes of provision based on the findings of care act assessments, person centred plans and risk assessments. Central to this is to manage the delivery of, effective, efficient and value for money services, with particular emphasis on project delivery and income generation to support the councils&© budgetary pressures.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and developing a large team of Senior Community Support Workers, Community Support Workers and other staff. You will lead on consultation with service users, carers and families to ensure service provision is of a high standard and good outcomes are met. You will ensure person centred support plans and key working are in place and audit these. You will deliver on people&©s aspirations of independence, including health and wellbeing outcomes, community outcomes, personal empowerment and development, wishes and to try new things.
You will also need to demonstrate experience of managing budgets and be responsible for management of budget of 100k and above. You will understand financial procedures and how to work within audit guidelines, recommendations and council policies and procedures. You will also have responsibility for management and development of income generation to the council.
