Social Work Open Day – Thursday 31^st July 2025 

Children’s Family Help and Safeguarding are holding a Social Work Recruitment in-person and virtual online event for experienced social workers!

Date: Thursday 31^st July 2025

In Person Event Time: 15:00 – 17:30

Location: 5 Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London, N1C 4AG

Virtual Online Evening Event Time: 17:30 – 19:30

** This event is for Qualified, Experienced Social Workers registered with SWE **

Salary on offer:

Experienced: £47,642.50 - £50,706 (dependant on experience)

You will also be entitled to the following additional payments:

  • Reimbursement of the cost of Social Work England fee
  • Travel Allowance: A travel allowance of £1,708. This allowance will be paid monthly and is subject to taxation and National Insurance deductions but is not pensionable and will therefore not count towards the calculation of your pension.

On Thursday 31^st July 2025, we are hosting two external events; one an in person drop in event at 5 Pancras Square and straight afterward a virtual online evening event for Children’s Family Help and Safeguarding Social Workers to come and either drop in or log in online to meet different teams and leadership within children’s and families social work. 

The in-person event at our 5 Pancras Square flagship office starts at 3pm until 5:30pm, allowing visitors to drop in at their convenience. Light refreshments and goody bags will be provided throughout the day. 

The Virtual Online Evening Event will be from 5:30pm until 7:30pm allowing candidates who cannot attend in person to log in remotely (we’ve added this option this year to allow flexibility to ensure no one misses out on the day).

Representatives from our teams including Children in Need, Corporate Parenting and Children and Young People’s Disability Services, Camden’s Learning Academy, Family Group Conferencing, Centre for Relational Practice, and more will be in attendance. All representatives will be able to answer any questions you might have about a social work career at Camden, including benefits, the day-to-day role, career progression, learning and development, and more. Our Human Resources team will also be there to support visitors with making an application on the day.
