About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
About the role:
This role requires organisation, multitasking, and always prioritising residents' engagement with the council.
You will be an effective member of the Engagement team, prioritising the use of corporate communications and engagement resources to deliver Council goals. This will require an understanding of the council’s key policies and strategic goals, as well as regulatory requirements. You will use communications insights to inform and shape policy and strategy development, ensuring timely and professional communications and engagement input to support and influence high-level and strategic Council decision-making.
Example outcomes or objectives that this role will deliver include developing and implementing strategies to effectively engage with local communities, building and maintaining strong relationships with community groups and stakeholders, organising public consultations and events, and providing support for elected members. You will also be responsible for data collection and analysis, volunteer management, conflict resolution, and contributing to policy development. Additionally, you will assist with financial bids from resident associations and ensure effective communication and engagement across the Council.
