Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

Redbridge is committed to providing excellent service; this is an opportunity to join our Environmental Services Team in a Grounds Maintenance role, providing high quality services to residents across the borough.

You will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and external communal areas of the council's housing stock.

This customer focused position includes many varied duties; we are looking for someone with experience of Grounds Maintenance and Horticultural works.  You will be committed to delivering services to a high standard and you will be expected to provide excellent customer service at all times.

You will be someone who can work on your own initiative, deliver strong consistent performance and is able to work as part of a team.

You will need the ability to meet the physical requirements of the job and carry out manual tasks involving lifting and moving heavy equipment.  A valid driving licence would be of advantage, reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabled applicants.

This post has been designated as safety critical, in accordance with the Council's Alcohol, Drugs and Substance Misuse Policy.

Interview dates to be confirmed
