Practice Manager
Permanent - Full time
Location: Station Road
Reporting to: Team Manager, Family Help 1
Redbridge is transforming the way we support families.
Through our innovative Family Help model, we've integrated Early Help, Community Social Work, and Child Protection Assessment into one cohesive service. We now offer a seamless, multi-agency response across the continuum of need - from early intervention to child protection - without step-ups or step-downs. At the heart of this model is relationship-based practice, supporting children and families from the very beginning of their journey with bespoke, consistent, and timely interventions.
We are now recruiting a qualified and dynamic Practice Manager to lead and oversee the work of Social Workers and Early Help Practitioners in Family Help Team 1.
Why this role matters
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality, child-focused practice and leading a team that supports families in a way that's responsive, joined-up, and impactful. You will be instrumental in embedding integrated working, ensuring that when a family's needs escalate, the support escalates with them -not away from them.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, supportive leadership to a team of 6 - 8 Social Workers and 2 Early Help Practitioners
- Deliver high-quality supervision, case direction, and reflective practice that ensures safe and effective casework
- Lead on integrated case management to ensure continuity of relationships, minimising the need for families to repeat their story
- Work alongside Early Help Practitioners when needs escalate to maintain consistency and ensure a seamless transition of support
- Promote a culture of safeguarding, innovation, and strength-based practice
- Monitor and manage performance, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and Redbridge's quality standards
What we're looking for
A qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Proven experience in supervising or managing practitioners within children's services
- A strong grasp of safeguarding, early help, and child protection practice
- Passion for collaborative, relationship-based work
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams through change and innovation
What we offer
The opportunity to help shape a trailblazing service model
- A culture that values learning, creativity, and integrity
- Strong leadership support and professional development
- The chance to make a real difference for children and families in Redbridge
