Enfield Library Service has a vacancy for the role of Service Development Officer.
Key skills needed for the role:
- To lead on the planning and delivery of specific projects and initiatives aimed at improving Library services in Enfield Libraries.
- To be responsible for the day to day operation and line management of various staff with different roles delivering front line services across different locations. To review, improve and take responsibility for the activities and performance of these staff members and the quality of their work through the PDR process and 121s by identifying appropriate development and training activities and deliver coaching. To deal with any people management issues including recruitment, probationary reviews, initial disciplinary/capability issues and absence management within the team.
- To organise and manage delivery of a programme of initiatives across libraries in support of the Council’s objectives including digital inclusion, literacy for children and adults, a love of reading and lifelong learning.
- To maintain, monitor and potentially expand current initiatives which bring income to the service and to seek new income generation opportunities.
- To monitor project funds and ensure they are spent appropriately and in a timely manner.
