Are you a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with specific and complex needs?

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team in our SEN-specific classrooms. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking school that prioritises inclusion, collaboration, and child-centred learning.

About the role:

  • Support children with a range of complex and specific learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and sensory processing difficulties
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support
    Implement individual learning and behaviour plans with empathy and consistency
  • Foster independence, confidence, and positive relationships with pupils

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:

  • Has proven experience working with children with SEN, especially those with complex needs
  • Is calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to support and behaviour management
  • Has strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
  • Has relevant qualifications or training in SEN such as BSL (desirable but not essential)
  • Has a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • The ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all pupils make good and better progress
  • A commitment to own professional development and willing to undertake specialised training
  • Good communication skills and is able to work within a supportive framework of colleagues and parents
