Payroll Manager
- Accurate Payroll Processing: Ensuring all payroll-related activities are processed accurately and on time,
- Compliance and Reporting: Maintaining compliance with all relevant Local authority labour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- System Management: Overseeing and managing payroll systems, identifying and resolving issues, and improving efficiency.
- Staff Training: Hiring and training new payroll team members, and supervising payroll staff on payroll processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Reporting: Generating reports on payroll data for management and relevant stakeholders.
- Project Management: Leading and managing payroll-related projects and process improvement
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a payroll team, fostering a positive and productive work environment, whilst also using their initiative to identify areas for improvement in payroll processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
You will have expertise in using payroll software and other relevant technology to manage and process payroll efficiently, whilst also having a thorough understanding of payroll calculations, deductions, tax regulations, and reporting requirements along with an in-depth knowledge of payroll-related laws, regulations, and compliance requirements at local authority levels.
You will be a good communicator in order to effectively deal with employees, management, and other stakeholders regarding payroll matters, explaining complex information clearly and the capacity to troubleshoot payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement solutions to ensure smooth payroll processing.
You will be a member of the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) and hold the relevant qualification or be able to demonstrate substantial experience in Oracle Cloud HCM and payroll processes.
