We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher and passionate leader to support the drive forward of our English Department and work closely with the Head of Faculty as second in charge. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the further improvement of the English Faculty, ensuring high quality teaching and that there are student intervention programmes in place which ensure student progress. There are great development possibilities within the school and Trust for the right candidate.

Overview: We seek a second in English to join our team, with the responsibility of being accountable for the standards attained by all students within your lessons and the department. Plan and apply strategies/interventions that deliver rapid student progress. Support with the delivery of effective teaching and learning that maximises individual progress. Responsible for the learning environment including facilities, health and safety and effective deployment of resources and work closely and under the Head of Faculty.

The Role:
As the Second in English you will support and be responsible for the Faculty. You will manage staff within the subject area.
