Do you have a passion for movement, music, and helping others stay active? We're looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Zumba Gold® Facilitator to lead inclusive, low- intensity dance fitness sessions designed especially for older adults, beginners, and those returning to exercise after illness or injury.
About the Role
Tuesdays 12.30-13.30
1 hour x 5 weeks
Zumba Gold® brings the excitement and rhythms of Latin and international dance to participants who need a gentler approach than traditional Zumba®. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating a supportive, vibrant environment where participants
can improve their fitness and well-being at their own pace.
Facilitate fun, engaging Zumba Gold® sessions that promote physical, mental, and social well-being.
Adapt movements to accommodate various fitness levels and physical abilities.
Create a welcoming and inclusive space that encourages self-expression through movement.
Promote cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Support participants in developing body awareness and dance confidence.
Use of expressive, upbeat music and simple choreography to foster group connection and enjoyment.
Encouragement for participants to work at their own level and pace.
Integration of techniques that support range of motion, coordination, and cognitive function.
Introduction to various dance styles and movement principles for self-expression and holistic health.
Our Ideal Candidate
Certified Zumba Gold® instructor or similar dance fitness qualification.
Experience working with older adults, beginners, or individuals with varying physical needs.
Friendly, motivational, and able to create a fun, non-intimidating atmosphere.
Strong communication skills and an inclusive, person-centered approach.
Desirable
First aid certification and knowledge of safe practice in a fitness environment.
Background in community health, wellness, or group exercise programs.
