Emergency Planning and Resilience Officer
As an Emergency Planning and Resilience Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the council is ready to respond to any emergencies which happen. From flood response to setting up emergency rest centres, the team is continuously identifying and recommending improvements to strengthen and enhance organisational resilience. The postholder will be responsible for writing, reviewing and exercising both council and multi-agency plans, as well as delivering training for Council staff with response and recovery roles.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of local authority duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and relevant legislation. They will also have strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
