Chase Lane Primary School and Nursery is a vibrant and successful school in the North

East of London with approximately 680 children on roll representing over 40 different

Speech and Language Therapy Learning Support Assistant

Scale 3 Point 6

Hours: 27.5 per week

Actual pro-rata salary: £19,093.58

Our staff are committed in ensuring that our children get the best possible education.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, motivated and friendly person to work supporting SEN children by providing quality speech & language development.

The candidate will:

  • Carry out 1:1 and group therapy programs as set out by a speech & language therapist (SaLT) and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo), working in partnership with the child, their family and other staff
  • Participate in assessments, meetings and observations as required by the SaLT and SENDCo
  • To manage own diary taking into consideration school and pupil timetables
  • Keep written records of therapy sessions 
  • Work without direct supervision, reporting back the child’s progress and informing the SALT/SENDCO of any problems
  • Plan, arrange and monitor interventions.
