Social Worker Salary £42,324 to £47,532 + £5,000 (Recruitment and Retention)
Senior Social Worker Salary £47,532 to 53,607 + £3,000 (Recruitment and Retention)
Redbridge Fostering team is currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic Social Worker to work full-time within the Fostering Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
We are looking to recruit an aspiring Social Worker who is ready to take the next step in their career progression. This role would suit a highly motivated, dynamic and tenacious individual who is competent with their statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and has a sound understanding of other legislation and guidance relating to Fostering. This role will require excellent assessment, observation and analysis skills, and a clear understanding of the law and guidance relating to Fostering.
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
- Substantive experience of working with children, young people and their families.
- Able to manage a caseload of Foster Carers enabling them to care for children with complex and challenging needs.
- Excellent writing skills and confident in representing the service at professional forums.
- Committed to achieving positive outcomes for children.
- Experience of completing assessments and developing SMART care plans for children, young people, and their families.
- Able to contribute to the Skills to Foster Training and be part of the duty rota.
- Able to contribute to recruitment events and campaigns for prospective Foster Carers.
- Able to demonstrate personal and professional autonomy in relation to practice.
- Able to work flexibly as part of a team.
