We now have a fantastic opportunity to join the office of the newly appointed Chief Executive. You will provide strategic support to both the Chief Executive and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The successful candidate will not only oversee the Leadership Support function for the Council and manage the Executive Support Team, they will play a key role working across the organisation.
Responsibilities will be:
- To oversee the provision of executive support to the Chief Executive and ELT and provide leadership and line management and leadership to the Executive Support Team.
- To establish a casework function for the Chief Executive’s office and ensure the effective handling of all enquiries and complaints received by all means of communication, including the oversight of office systems.
- To work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative, independently providing full executive support, including briefings, research, complex drafting, special projects and the production of internal and external presentations.
- To work in conjunction with internal support teams to ensure effective communication with members, ELT, partners and other stakeholders.
