Advertising & Marketing Manager
Redbridge Council’s Commercial Service
Redbridge Council has been recognised nationally for delivering excellent value for money.
The independent consultancy, Impower, concluded the council was first in London and second in the country for providing excellent services and performance despite a year-on-year drop in budget it can spend from.
Redbridge works hard to make every pound count, and we want to capitalise upon every opportunity to secure funding.
The Commercial Service has been created to support Redbridge Council’s efforts to serve our residents by generating income from wide-ranging opportunities, including sponsorship, bidding, advertising, and services/product marketing.
It also acts as an incubator for new commercial projects testing their viability.
The service works corporately and in 2025/26, we have an ambitious programme of work to deliver, so we are now recruiting three new roles to increase our capability.
Advertising and Marketing Manager
Working under the direction of the Head of Commercial and Marketing, this role is integral to our ambitions. The postholder will be responsible for managing the council’s advertising channels and its advertising contracts; building relationships with our partners to grow our channels and identify new opportunities for advertising on the council’s assets.
The council owns print, digital and public realm advertising assets and the postholder will be required to design and sell advertising packages and identify new opportunities to generate income. In that respect, they will need experience of advertising sales and marketing/promotion.
The postholder will also manage a small portfolio of commercial projects. The role requires wide-ranging marketing skills including research, planning, creative ideation, implementation (content creation) and evaluation of marketing campaigns.
