Senior Communications and Campaigns Officer
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join us as a Senior Communications and Campaigns Officer, to work on housing communications and to manage a significant housing campaign.
This will involve updating and implementing a campaign strategy and managing the campaign from end-to-end. You will be booking media space where needed, working with colleagues to brief and create best-in class and effective campaign material across a range of channels, evaluating the campaign’s performance against its objectives throughout. You will be experienced in writing and producing content for multi-channel campaigns to bring the right message to the right people, at the right time.
You'll be an outstanding writer, with proven ability to create long-form and short-form content for a range of channels, and will be adept at producing work at pace.
You will have experience working with a number of stakeholders, understanding their objectives, building trust and gaining sign-off on communications activity at a high level.
You will also have a varied role working across the communications service to help us deliver our broader housing communications, liaising with media outlets, managing social media and other communications activity where relevant.
You will have experience working in a communications, marketing, or engagement environment within local government, and understand the way in which a council works.
You’ll also be adept at building strong working relationships with staff and leaders, be super-organised and able to work to conflicting deadlines.
