Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinators to join our SEN and Disability Team. The successful candidates will be responsible for coordinating and managing the EHC needs assessments and annual reviews for young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities. This role involves working closely with young people, their parents/carers, schools, further education colleges, training providers, and relevant professionals to develop high-quality, outcome-focused EHC Plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of EHCP assessments, reviews, and amendments, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, health and social care professionals to ensure EHCPs are tailored to meet the individual needs of children and young people.
  • Ensure all EHCPs are developed and maintained in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
  • Act as a key contact for families, providing guidance and support while ensuring a fair and transparent process.
  • Maintain accurate records, track progress, and contribute to service development by identifying trends and areas for improvement.
