HR EDI Accessibility Specialist

The Post
You will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) service, ensuring staff receive the necessary support to thrive. You will work closely with managers, HR, and key stakeholders to identify and implement effective accessibility solutions, embedding clear policies and processes that promote transparency and equity. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance on best practices, support employees in navigating accessibility needs, and foster an inclusive workplace culture where barriers to inclusion are removed.
In this role, you will design and deliver impactful training programs, engage with employee networks, and champion accessibility initiatives at all levels. You will also monitor and report on EDI progress, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. By influencing leadership, fostering collaboration, and driving meaningful change, you will ensure accessibility and reasonable adjustments remain a core priority within the organisation’s EDI strategy.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be proactive and solution-focused, taking the initiative to develop innovative accessibility solutions and drive meaningful change. They will be a strong advocate for reasonable adjustments, ensuring that employees' needs are recognised and met across all levels of the organisation. With the ability to influence and persuade senior leaders and key stakeholders, they will champion best practices in accessibility and foster an inclusive work environment.
This role requires a person-centred and empathetic individual who can listen, understand, and tailor solutions to meet diverse needs. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as the candidate will deliver impactful training, develop clear policies, and manage multiple projects effectively. They should be digitally confident and be a collaborative team player, building strong relationships across the organisation to create a truly inclusive and supportive workplace.
Experience & Qualifications
While formal qualifications are not essential, we are looking for someone with:
- Experience in implementing accessibility solutions and managing reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
- A strong understanding of the Equality Act and its application within employment policies and practices.
- Previous experience working with Access to Work schemes, assistive technology, and workplace accommodations
- Experience collaborating with HR and leadership teams to integrate EDI principles into workplace policies and culture.
