Extended Schools Playleader (afterschool club)

Henry Maynard is a flourishing large 4 form entry primary school with a nursery situated on the edge of Walthamstow village E17, serving a vibrant and diverse community. Ofsted rated the school ‘Good’ in November 2023.

We are seeking to employ energetic and committed Extended School Playleaders (afterschool clubs) to join our growing Extended Provision Team. We are looking for suitable candidates to work up to 5 days per week. Please apply as soon as possible as we will be interviewing on a rolling basis.

You will work under the direction of the Extended Schools Superviser, Extended Schools Lead or Headteacher, effectively supervise pupils during after school activities, providing a continuous presence to ensure the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils in accordance with school policy.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is enthusiastic, a good communicator and able to engage children in interesting activities.

• Experience of working with children
• An understanding of how children develop and learn
• The ability to work on your own initiative.
