An excellent opportunity has arisen within the London Borough of Redbridge for a Land Charges Officer to join our friendly and well respected Local Land Charges department on a permanent basis.

It is essential that the successful candidate has recent experience and knowledge of using local land charges search applications and understand the process.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing and processing local land search certificates;
  2. Searching the land charges register on behalf of the public and solicitors;
  3. Maintaining, preparing, and updating the land charges register
  4. PAssisting the Land Charges department with the migration of part of its functions to HM Land Registry.

The Council currently operates on a hybrid basis.

You will work within Legal Services and you will also work closely with other Council departmental clients and specialist departments.

 

The Council is looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience of working within Land Charges, working within clear guidelines and procedures to produce appropriate legal documents are all essential.
  • Must have knowledge of the local land charges system and processes.
  • NVQ in Administration or Local land Charges Qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of working in an admin / office environment.
  • Good knowledge of various IT applications.
  • Good general standard of education
