Grade 5-  £32,925- £36,045pa pro rata (14.4 hpw, term time only) 

We are looking for an individual with experience and commitment to supporting deaf babies, children and young adults and their families. You will be working with families and children in a range of pre-school and educational settings.

You will be guided by the Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) and the Advisory Teacher for Multi-Sensory Impairment (QTMSI). You will be required to work independently on agreed tasks such as checking equipment, fault-finding and processing repairs. You will also be providing advice and support to children, young people and families around using equipment, communication strategies to support independence and most importantly, promoting positive deaf identity.

Although not necessarily a pre-requisite, BSL L3  is desirable, whilst a commitment to learn BSL is essential if not qualified, in order to be able to support children, young people and families who are  first language BSL users. 

This permanent part time role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Physical and Sensory Team in London Borough of Havering within the CAD 5-19 Team. We look forward to receiving your application.
