 About The Role

Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will transform services and deliver positive outcomes for Newham’s Care Act eligible residents - putting in place safe, high-quality, value-for-money services that enable residents to improve their health and wellbeing, safe in their own home.  

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering significant transformation across the Supported Living Pathway through all stages of the Commissioning Cycle;
  • Embedding our newly developed outcomes focused monitoring approach that will maximise resident independence and value for money;
  • Contract managing our commissioned service and overseeing commissioning related activity to facilitate continuous improvement;
  • Managing a small team of Commissioning / Contracts Officers;
  • Designing  and procuring new Supporting Living Services through the newly establish Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV);
  • Working closely with Operational colleagues to ensure that our residents receive the best possible services to meet their individual needs.

About You

You will have:

  • Knowledge and experience of Adult Social Care;
  • Experience in all aspects of the commissioning cycle and be able to critically appraise service delivery to develop innovative solutions;
  • Experience of writing and presenting detailed and well-reasoned reports and business cases to senior management boards;
  • Experience and ability to manage a small staff team;
  • The ability to contract manage and establish effective working relationships and with key stakeholders including local Providers and residents;
  • Strong organisational / ’political’ awareness and record of successfully delivering and influencing organisational change.
