About The Role
Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will transform services and deliver positive outcomes for Newham’s Care Act eligible residents - putting in place safe, high-quality, value-for-money services that enable residents to improve their health and wellbeing, safe in their own home.
You will be responsible for:
- developing the North East London Market Management Group (including overseeing the delivery of the Accelerating Reform Fund projects across the footprint);
- leading Adults and Health into the 21^st Century through the implementation of an ambitious Care Tech programme;
- oversee the mobilisation of our new all-age Home Care contract (including the expansion of our award winning Trusted Assessor programme);
- oversee the refresh of the Carers Strategy.
About You
You will have:
- in-depth knowledge and experience of Adult Social Care;
- experience in all aspects of the commissioning cycle and be able to critically appraise service delivery to develop innovative solutions;
- experience of writing and presenting detailed and well-reasoned reports and business cases to senior management boards;
- a track record of delivering resident outcomes through directly managing staff, budgets and services;
- the ability to develop long-term relationships, creating networks external to the Council, including at a regional level – and with local Providers and residents;
- strong organisational / ’political’ awareness and record of successfully delivering and influencing organisational change.
