What you'll do
Notting Hill Genesis, one of London's largest housing associations, is looking for a highly organised, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Building Surveyor. You will be pivotal in improving the quality of our homes and ensuring they are properly maintained. You will deliver disrepair surveys, technical specifications, and recommendations using your experience to deliver the best value and excellent homes for NHG.
How you'll do it
You will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing works to within legal disrepair cases within our managed properties. Your focus will be undertaking property inspections and producing work specifications, creating purchase orders on different platforms, instructing contractors, agreeing on costs & overseeing repairs until completion. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across NHG and externally to drive improvements and offer a first-class service to our customers.
The Ideal Candidate

Essential:
  • Appropriate surveying experience or relevant qualifications.
  • Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports
  • Relevant experience providing services to residential property owners and managers.
  • Experience in management of major works, along with experience in preparing tender docs, scope of works, and cost appraisal and dealing with interim/final accounts.
Desirable:
  • Member of RICS or CIOB
  • Degree in building surveying or similar qualification
